Thanks for coming to "All About Painting Materials and Techniques". This web site provides basic information of how to use traditional painting materials , small encyclopedia of painting materials , Message Board , link page and other contents for all kind of western and eastern painting. However, I've written about only oil painting. I hope that I'll be able to up load contents for egg tempera and Japanese painting soon.

This site is specialized in old painting method and nature materials, such as pigments, clays, nature resins , animal skin glue or etc. You can learn how to use them on this site. And if you have any questions or problems about them, you can ask at the Message Boards ( If you have lots of knowledge and experience , please tell your stories and answer their questions on the board ) .

This site is optimized with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4 or 5 ( windows edition ) and over 800x600 resolution , 16 bit+ color. But you can read all my text with other browsers and resolution. Please switch on JAVA script and stylesheet option.
